Mayterm on Campus

On-campus housing during Mayterm 2012

No one may reside in campus housing during the Mayterm period unless he/she has been assigned by the Housing Director or Mayterm RD. Campus housing during Mayterm is offered to students who:

  1. Enroll in a Mayterm class on campus
  2. Enroll in a summer travel course with the Off-Campus Programs Office (and need housing for the few days spent on campus prior to departure)

Short-term housing is provided for the above-mentioned groups with pre-approved dates. Students who reside off-campus and commute to campus (ostensibly to participate in one of the preceding two groups) do not need to make any official arrangement with Housing to commute during the Mayterm period from their own off-campus residence.

Athletes who are approved by their head coach for extended intercollegiate competition beyond the spring semester use a different application for housing during May. See May Housing for Athletes.

Application

Submission deadline: May 3, 2012 (last day of finals)

To apply, go to: Mayterm Housing 2012 application.

When you apply by the last day of spring finals (Thursday, May 3), you may participate in Early Check-In from 10am-12noon on Sunday, May 6. No online applications are accepted after the last day of finals. Eligible students who have not applied online by the deadline may request Mayterm housing in person during Standard-Check-In from 12noon-2pm on Sunday, May 6.

For those who do not check-in at one of these times, the Mayterm RD will conduct a later check-in from 7-9pm. Anna Fletcher will be serving as the Mayterm RD.

Location

On-campus housing during Mayterm 2012 will be in Clark Hall, unless space requirements or unforeseen circumstances compel us to use a different hall.

Roommates & Check-In

Check-in (for keys, roommate requests, and room assignments) will take place at Clark-A Classroom.

Every resident will be expected to have a roommate in Mayterm housing. Regular Mayterm students may request a specific roommate at time of check-in, but the requested student should also be attending regular Mayterm. If students do not have a specific roommate request at time of check-in, the next student in line will be assigned as the roommate. Those requesting short-term housing (i.e. Off-Campus Program participants and athletes) may be assigned in a different section than regular Mayterm students, and requested roommates need to be participants in the same program.

Questions?

You may contact the Mayterm RD or the Housing Office if you have any questions or special concerns.
