Westmont Honored for Fund-Raising

May 1, 2002

The Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) has named Westmont as a winner of the 2002 Circle of Excellence in Educational Fund-Raising Award, which honors superior fund-raising programs across the country. The award comes as Westmont’s capital campaign, which raised more than $56 million, is coming to a close.

“We are delighted to receive this recognition from CASE,” said Steve Baker, vice president for development at Westmont. “The award is a wonderful testimony to the tremendous support given to the college over the past few years and the dedicated work of staff and volunteers.”

Westmont was one of only nine private, liberal arts colleges in the nation to win the award, which will be presented at a luncheon for Circle of Excellence Award winners, held during CASE’s International Assembly in Chicago. Some of the other colleges awarded are Amherst College, Washington and Lee University, Davidson College and Wabash College.
