Dave came to Westmont in 1991 to coach the men’s soccer team after six years of playing professional indoor soccer. Dave has had a very successful tenure during his time coaching at Westmont with more than 200 wins. Over the course of the past 21 years, he has taught a wide variety of activity courses as well as teaching in the area of sport psychology and sociology. Recently, he has taken on developing a new course, Psychology of Movement for the streamlined Kinesiology major. In 1997, his role changed from primarily an activity specialist to the role of athletic director,a position he served in for 10 years. In the fall of 2008, Dave moved away from the athletic director role and returned to a more traditional coaching and teaching role. Dave's latest teaching addition has been in the Fitness for Life course.
Dave’s free time is spent with his wife Jill, on youth soccer fields across southern California, as they coach and encourage their five children; Tanner (17), Lauren (15), Bailey (13), Peyton (11), and Jackson (8).
