Career Cafe event

 

CC LogoCareer Café is a venue for coffee and casual conversations, where students can discuss all things “career” with event sponsors.  Students can enjoy made-to-order lattes, espressos and various baked goods as they talk with you about your industry and open job or internship opportunities within your organization.

Career Café is held in the Career Development & Calling office (upper Kerr Student Center) 6:30-8:00pm on the first Monday evening of the following months:

Study Break is geared towards building student awareness of a sponsoring organization’s brand.
The event features
study-friendly snacks and beverages and takes place 2-4pm during midterm and finals week.

A $300 sponsorship fee includes refreshments and marketing related to each event as follows:
  • Your logo will be featured as a rolling ad on Job Spot’s student/alumni homepage from the date the event is booked until one month after the event, and lead directly to your website with a click
  • Your logo will appear as a rolling ad on the Dining Commons screen up to a week prior to the event
  • Online marketing and print materials related to the event will contain your logo
  • Event details, including information about your organization, will be included in a weekly student eNewsletter
  • Marketing of the event can be directed to particular majors and/or class levels – including alumni
Hosting the DC Recruiting Table is also a great way to get in front of students and share about your opportunities. We can schedule your visit any weekday, 11am-2pm, free of charge.

Career Cafe is a venue for "coffee and casual career conversations" where students can discuss all things “career” with Career Development & Calling staff and our event sponsors.  Students enjoy made-to-order lattes or espressos and a spread of bakery treats while talking with our event sponsors about their industries, their personal career paths, and open job and internship opportunities within their organizations.


Career Cafe is held the first Monday evening of each month on the main floor of Voskyul Library, from 7:30-8:30pm.  Through this event we make an effort to present our students with a wide range of opportunities and industries.  Following is a list of dates for Career Café events taking place in 2016-2017:

Fall Semester 2016:
October, November, and December

Spring Semester 2017:
February, March and April


Study Break takes place on one afternoon from 2-4pm during midterms and finals. The event is geared towards building an organization’s brand awareness on campus, and features study-friendly snacks and beverages for students.

* Marketing of the event can be directed to particular majors, academic departments, or class levels – including alumni
