We’re deeply thankful to have students wrap up their studies on campus and complete the fall semester. Westmont has been open and safe this fall, through great effort and by God's grace. We've conducted about 3,800 (and counting) COVID tests of students, faculty and staff. As of today, we’ve achieved a low positivity rate of 0.42 percent. Thank you for helping to keep Westmont safe this fall. You can see the resourcesrequired to make all this possible. If you recently made a gift, thank you! We’re so grateful for the outpouring of support we’ve seen for #protecthemont.
The transition from one year to the next is a time for both celebration and reflection. The psalmist asks the Lord to "teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom" (Psalm 90:12). As we enter the new year, I pray that the Advent season, a preparatory time of waiting in hope, helps us to face the future with the joy of the Lord as our continued hope and our true strength.
God bless you in the new year!

The 16th annual Christmas Festival, “Ris’n with Healing in His Wings,” presented a special online event this year. The concert responded to the current pandemic with music and readings focusing on God’s presence and grace in all things, even trials. Filmed across campus, the socially distanced performances included “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing,” “Carol of the Bells” and “O Come, O Come, Emmanuel.”Watch the concertthrough the end of December.

Based on the results of the Alumni Homecoming Survey, we’re planning a joint celebration in October 2021 for reunion classes from both 2020 and 2021. We’ll provide an update to confirm the official date. All alums are invited, and those who graduated in years ending in 0, 5, 1 and 6 will celebrate reunions. We look forward to seeing you!

The Westmont class of 2020 is overcoming challenges
Ninety-two percent of Westmont graduates from the class of 2020 have found a job or are attending graduate school (or planning to attend) despite a national economy sickened by the coronavirus.
“What an encouraging achievement for recent graduates in the midst of a pandemic,” says Paul Bradford, director of Westmont’s Career Opportunities and Vocational Exploration (COVE) Center and adjunct professor of economics and business.Read More
