Alex Nizet

Alex received a B.A. in Philosophy at UC Berkeley and a J.D. from McGeorge School of Law. A licensed attorney in California, Alex went on to receive his Master of Divinity from Yale University. Before assuming his current position, Alex was the Director of Athletic Development at Westmont where he developed and managed a successful major gift fundraising program for athletics. His prior professional experience includes serving as the Director of Partnerships and Business Development at St. HOPE, a faith-based, inner-city community development organization founded by NBA All-Star Kevin Johnson. Before his tenure with St. HOPE, he worked as the Director of Business and Legal Affairs at Jaffe/Braunstein Films, a prominent television production company based in Los Angeles. Alex was a two-time NCAA Division One All-American tennis player and competed on the ATP Tour.
Working in a faith community like Westmont has provided Alex with a wonderful opportunity to integrate his theological education with his professional life. He is also a member of the Spiritual Care Team at Cottage Hospital were he serves as an on-call chaplain. Alex and his wife, Aliza, live in Santa Barbara and enjoy the healthy lifestyle the community offers.
