Van Kampen, near front entrance
I'm Liz Robertson and I am the Van Kampen Resident Director. I am a California transplant who was born and raised in Upstate New York. I attended Wheaton College (IL) and earned a BA in Spanish/Secondary Education. After a few years as a high school Spanish teacher and volleyball coach, I began working in higher education at HoneyRock, Wheaton College's Center for Leadership Development. During that time I met my amazing husband, Brad, and we got married and spent about a year traveling and volunteering. We landed at Bethel University (MN) and I began to work as a Resident Director while also pursuing an MA in Organizational Leadership. In 2015, we moved to Santa Barbara and I became a Resident Director at Westmont College. I have truly loved being a part of the Westmont community. Westmont is a special place and the students here are incredible! I consider it a privilege to live and work alongside such amazing students in a climate where it's warm all year round and I can go to the beach anytime I want. I enjoy spending time with college students, sharing a meal or drinking coffee (or tea in my case!) and talking about life. It is my hope that each resident in VK feels a sense of belonging and is excited to contribute their own gifts. I look forward to meeting you and welcoming you the VK community!
