
Silvio E. Vazquez became Westmont’s dean of admissions in the fall of 2011. An alumnus of Gordon College in Massachusetts—where he earned his B.A. in History— Vazquez served Gordon in various roles over a two-decade period from 1989-2009, eventually becoming vice president for enrollment and marketing. He earned his master’s degree in business administration from Boston College’s Wallace E. Carroll School of Management with an emphasis on strategic planning and marketing. He later joined the higher education firm of Scannell & Kurz, Inc. in Rochester, NY, where he worked with colleges and universities nationally as an enrollment management consultant. He has served on the Commission for Chief Enrollment Officers for the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities as well as on the boards of the North American Coalition for Christian Admission Professionals, the Rockport Chamber Music Festival in Rockport, MA, and on the Boston North Shore-based home schooling network, New Hope Tutorials. Vazquez is first generation college graduate and a native of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
