Stephen Baker

Stephen Baker has been in the Development/Advancement field for 26 years. He spent three years directing and managing capital campaigns for Community Counselling Service, an international fundraising firm. He has been in higher education fundraising since that time, serving the University of California at Berkeley and Indiana University School of Medicine before joining the staff at Westmont College. During his time at Westmont he provided direction for the Embracing the Past, Ensuring the Future Campaign which over-subscribed its fundraising goal.

Steve is a graduate of Westmont majoring in Economics and Business. He has been president of the Habitat for Humanity of Southern Santa Barbara County’s Board of Directors and has also chaired their Finance Committee. He continues to serve on Habitat’s board.

He is married and has three daughters. Steve enjoys exercising, reading and spending time with his family.
