Intercultural Organizations Students for Racial Justice (SRJ)
Mission + Vision Statement:
SRJ is a branch of ICP that is led by white students where our goal is to educate other white students on the value of diversity where it isn’t talked about a lot. We aim to uplift the other ICP organizations by creating a space that promotes unity instead of uniformity. While all students are welcome regardless of race or ethnicity, it is led by white students for the purpose of sharing the responsibility of educating the Westmont student body. We know that the job of educating on the topic of racial justice often falls on students of color, so we want to encourage white students to step up, engage with, and be informed by stories other than their own. Just as Jesus exemplified in His ministry, we want students to seek biblical justice for those around them by engaging through intentional listening.
