Prerequisites
Applicants must complete their first bachelor's degree before beginning the ABSN, MEPN, or RN to MSN program. Applicants must also take the current Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) exam and request their official test scores be sent to Westmont College.
ABSN
- Anatomy with Lab (must be completed within 7 years)
- Physiology with Lab (must be completed within 7 years)
- Microbiology with Lab (must be completed within 7 years)
- Any Chemistry with Lab
- Thinking Historically (most history courses meet this prerequsitie)
- English Composition
- Public Speaking
- General Psychology
- Introduction to Statistics
- Working Artistically (must include both analysis of and the making of an art form) OR Reading Imaginative Literature (fiction literature only; does not include academic, non-fiction literature)
MEPN
- Anatomy with Lab (must be completed within 7 years)
- Physiology with Lab (must be completed within 7 years)
- Microbiology with Lab (must be completed within 7 years)
- Any Chemistry with Lab
- English Composition
- Public Speaking
- Behavioral Science Class (e.g., Psychology, Lifespan Psychology)
- Social Science Class (e.g., Sociology, Anthropology, Political Science)
- Introduction to Statistics
RN-MSN
- Hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from a nationally accredited school of
nursing - Hold an active, unencumbered California State RN license
