A post-baccalaureate certificate is an extended course of study beyond the Bachelor's level.  It can be completed as a standalone certificate, or the credit can be applied to several leading seminaries in the U.S..  The program is designed for ministry professionals, laypeople eager to grow spiritually, and recent college graduates considering seminary.  Whether students pursue the certificate as a terminal degree or apply it to graduate education, the program will compel students to consider their vocation and life’s call within the context of a theological framework.

While many non-traditional programs utilize part-time adjunct faculty, Westmont's Theological Leadership courses are taught by the College's world-class full-time faculty, including President Gayle Beebe.  In addition, the program combines in-person and online components to make it accessible to students around the U.S.

Applicants just need a Bachelor's degree in any field. Preference will be given to students having earned at least a 3.0 at the college level.

The total cost is $10,000. Students are also responsible for books, supplies and the cost of accommodations for the three in-person retreats conducted in Santa Barbara.
 

The program consists of six courses spread out over three semesters, spanning one calendar year. Each cohort begins in late August and concludes the following August.
 

The maximum cohort size is 24 students.

Each semester begins with a 3-day in-person component, then courses will be conducted online (both synchronous and asynchronous) for the rest of the semester.
