Favorite thing about Westmont: Besides the fact that it is a beautiful campus, my favorite things about Westmont are both, faculty and students. We have amazing faculty, who care about our student's education and future. They are willing to mentor and build strong relationships with their students. And the students, well, without them there is no campus. Each of them bring a unique perspective in life to our campus and have so much potential to make a difference in our institution.
Favorite college memory: I have three: My first Midnight Madness as freshman at Westmont; Pascual's amazing breakfast burritos; and playing frisbee with Mark the RD at clark!
Favorite book(s) in your library: Oh man, I have too many, but if I had to pick my top three, I'd say: The Selfless Way of Christ by Henri Nouwen, Present over Perfect by Shauna Niequist and Everybody Always by Bob Goff!
What is your favorite thing to do away from Westmont: Without a doubt, spending time with my husband Danny, my two dogs, Baxter and Red, and eating. We are a family that loves to cook healthy meals and grill all the time!
What is a place that you like to vacation: My husband and I love to travel to Maui for vacation, if not, we love traveling to Cambria, Cayucos and Carmel for something more local!
Other great info about Jennie: My husband and I are the Young Adults Directors at New Life Church in SB and love spending time with young adults, mentoring them, and having them over for some food and games. I have been a teacher for over 10 years teaching in both urban and private settings, and lastly, I am a foodie at heart! Do not be surprised if you see me snacking or eating around all the time! :)
