Global Education Covid-19 Updates
SPRING SEMESTER 2021 UPDATE
Westmont in San Francisco and Westmont Downtown continue to offer vibrant, life & learning opportunities within a Westmont cohort. Follow them on Instagram and or email email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org to find out more. Both programs are currently accepting applications for both fall 2021 and spring 2022.
Also available are very limited spots on our affiliate programs for students whose major requires an off-campus program. Students must complete an application to request a spot to study on an affiliate program and submit it to our office.
Students do not need pre-approval to apply to an affiliate summer program; however, students may not apply their financial aid or scholarships on these programs. If you would like to know more about possible options and how to guarantee credit transfer, please contact our office.

FALL SEMESTER 2020 UPDATE
On October 9, the Provost announced that the College will not be offering any of our global education programs during Spring 2021, Mayterm 2021 or during the 2021-2022 academic year.
Many factors contributed to this difficult decision. The primary reasons are ongoing concerns about health, continued uncertainty about travel restrictions, and the impact of off-campus programs on the overall enrollment of the college.
The programs that will not be offered include England Semester, Europe Semester, the Global Health Semester in Uganda, Westmont in Mexico, and Westmont in Cairo. Mayterm 2021 programs that will not be offered are the England Theatre program, India, Northern Ireland, the Kinesiology program in Bath, and Jerusalem University College.
We do expect a full range of global programs to be available during Mayterm 2022 and during the 2022-2023 academic year. Information about those options will be announced during the spring 2021 semester.
A few students who need to study at an affiliate program for their academic major may be allowed to study at selected programs with priority given to juniors and seniors only. For a list of majors that require an off-campus program and to learn more about how to request a spot, please contact our office at email@example.com.
How to plan ahead? Our staff is available to advise you on how to consider an off-campus program in this season. First-years and sophomores, you will want to want to know how to plan ahead and what questions to ask your academic advisor. If you would like to schedule a Zoom appointment or connect with us, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our faculty programs directors and I join Provost Mark Sargent in his heartfelt words to students: "For those of you who had planned to study abroad, I can only underscore our regret about the loss of this opportunity in the midst of so many other losses and adjustments this season. We will continue to pray for the relief of suffering and sorrows brought about by the pandemic, and look forward to the time when our global programs can be fully restored."
