Biography/Details

Dr. Park studied at SUNY at Stony Brook (BS in Psychology) and completed her MA and PhD in Cognitive Psychology at the Ohio State University. Prior to coming to Westmont in 2021, she served as a faculty member at Azusa Pacific University and Hope College. Dr. Park’s research focuses on psychophysiological underpinnings of cognition-emotion interaction and social cognition. She is also interested in cognitive models of psychopathology. Dr. Park’s research line encompasses and bridges different topics from cognition (e.g., perception, attention, memory, and decision making), emotion, social cognition (e.g., moral judgement and cross-race effect), and psychophysiology (e.g., heart rate variability and EEG). Dr. Park teaches courses in Psychology of Learning, Cognitive Psychology, General Psychology, and the Senior Capstone Research course.
