Operator theory


Professor Rosentrater graduated from Messiah College, earned a Master of Science and a doctorate in mathematics at Indiana University and completed a Master of Science in computer science at the University of Toronto. He has taught at Westmont since 1980 and has won the Teacher of the Year Award and the Faculty Research Award. He held a Fulbright Fellowship in 1995. He commutes to work about 10 miles one way by bicycle almost daily. In 2015, he wrote “Varieties of Integration” for the Mathematical Association of America, Dolciani Series #51, and co-wrote two chapters for the 2011 book “Mathematics Through the Eyes of Faith.”
