  • Students who choose not to complete the teacher preparation program as a part of their four-year program, or who have not been admitted to the credential program, will replace the education courses listed in the fourth year with elective units.
  • Based on the “fast-track” schedule above, you would need to take a minimum of 2 elective units in May Term or summer school, or bring into Westmont 2+ units of AP credit.
  • As noted previously, you must apply separately to enter the Credential Program. Among other conditions, you need to have a 2.75 GPA and a passing score on the CSET exams.
  • Students who choose the “fast-track” option must complete ALL requirements for graduation by December of their Senior year. Otherwise, they do not quality for the tuition discount the Spring semester of student teaching. It is not possible to complete the Liberal Studies major in December with “deficient” units.
