FRIDAY, November 4
Attend a Class
8 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Review the list of select classes by professors welcoming visitors here. Be prepared to participate -- and expect challenging content!
Check-In
9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Location: President's Patio, Kerrwood Hall (after 2 p.m.--and rain plan--check-in at the Parent Relations office, second floor of Kerrwood Hall, Room 206)
Check in. Say hello, pick up your name tag and a cup of coffee or tea as you begin your day.
Worship in Chapel
10:30 - 11:20 a.m.
Location: Murchison Gym
Worship with the Westmont community and hear from chapel speaker Helen Rhee, Ph.D., Westmont Professor of History of Christianity, Religious Studies. Dr. Rhee graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in history and earned a Master of Divinity and a Doctor of Philosophy at Fuller Theological Seminary. She specializes in early Christian history, especially second- and third-century Christian literature and theology, focusing on the diverging Christian self-identities in relation to Greco-Roman culture and society.
Art Exhibit featuring Adam Belt
10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Location: Westmont Ridley-Tree Museum of Art
Adam Belt is interested in making visible the unseen energies at work in our universe, especially those forces beyond our meager understandings. His work is simple and minimal yet it asks complex questions and reveals profound truths. Curiosity is at the core of Belt's work. The artists explores the intersections of science and the visual arts, inviting his viewers to the see our world in new ways.
Lunch Available at the Dining Commons (DC)
11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Take your student out for lunch in town or stay on campus and dine in the DC.
Lunch: adults $9 and children $5 (ages 2-10). The DC is cashless. Accepts all credit cards and Apple Pay.
Westmont Nursing Open House
2 – 4 p.m.
Location: 26 W. Anapamu Street, Santa Barbara (off campus)
The building is adjacent to Public Parking Lot 5.
Come enjoy a root beer float, coffee or hot chocolate at the Westmont Nursing Open House. Westmont Downtown | Grotenhuis Nursing launched its Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) program in January 2022. Visit Westmont's downtown Santa Barbara location and tour the state-of-the-art nursing Skills Lab, Simulation Lab and classrooms. Learn about Westmont's exciting partnership with nearby Cottage Health.

Tickets are $50. Purchase tickets here. "The Lives and Shared Legacy of Coretta Scott and Martin Luther King, Jr." Featuring Preeminent MLK Scholar Dr. Clayborne Carson. You are welcome to purchase tickets to attend this annual lunch and lecture event that brings remarkable thought leaders to Westmont.

Enjoy dinner in town with your student. Consider taking along their roommate or new friend. This is a great time to listen and learn more about your student's college life so far. Here are some local favorites.

Where should I park?
Parent Relations has reserved two parking lots especially for visiting parents and families (near the library & baseball parking lots) on Friday and Saturday.
What are the bookstore hours?
You can stock up on Warrior gear during the following hours:
Friday 8:45 a.m.-4:30 p.m. (Note, bookstore is closed during chapel, 10:30-11:20 a.m.)
Saturday 10:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
